Day One Has Just Begun

and we are having fun!
We always do something fun on the day everyone goes back to school.  This year the kids chose painting.  I surprised them with a movie, Spy Kids 4, or whatever it was called.  It was good, for a kid movie.  A little cheesy, but hey - it was for the kids.  We were the only ones in the theater.  It was perfect for a little buddy who never stops talking.  He had to come - he has joined our homeschool this year, as an official homeschool preschooler.  After eating popcorn and Sprite for lunch (what?!), we headed to the new ceramic painting place.  It was nerve wracking fun.  Karson couldn't keep his hands off the ceramics and it made me a little crazy to find him "flynig" the ceramic airplanes around.  We were also the only ones there.  Good thing because little buddy dumped the popcorn all over the floor.  He had plenty of time to pick it up - kernal by kernal.  The last stop of our First Day of School was The Sweet Tooth Fairy.  The kids each chose a cupcake, I tasted each flavor, and Karson was disapointed to not actually meet the Tooth Fairy.
In the meantime, these two were welcomed to the big school as the little freshmen.

and this guy, who is aparently too tall and too old to pose for a photo, also headed back to school.
